What happens at the After Prom Grand Finale?

What happens if I lose the form they gave me at my after-prom party?

You must have a signed Qualifier Participation Form in order to register at the After Prom Grand Finale on Sunday, June 2. Click here to download and print it. You must either mail the original signature page to the address at the bottom of this page no later than May 17th OR bring it with you to the event. Because it is a legal document, we must have the original. Copies will not be accepted.

If you will be under age 18 on the day of the event, you will need a parent or guardian’s signature on the form.

I can’t go to the After Prom Grand Finale. Can my friend go in my place?

First of all, congratulations and thank you for making the choice to stay safe on prom night! Although we hope you’ll be able to attend and enter the drawing to win a brand new car from First Team Auto Mall, we understand that there may be schedule conflicts. Unfortunately, your friend will not be able to attend in your place. When the names are drawn at the school after-prom parties, the APGF School Representative sends the names of those Qualifiers to us. Only those students are allowed to attend. Students whose names are not on our list will not be allowed to register at the After Prom Grand Finale.

How do I get an invitation to After Prom Grand Finale?

If your school is participating, all you have to do is attend your school’s after-prom party and stay until the end. If your name is drawn at the end of the after-prom party, you will become a Qualifier and be automatically invited to the After Prom Grand Finale on Sunday, June 2nd, in Roanoke.

If your school is having an after-prom party but isn’t participating in the After Prom Grand Finale, talk to your principal or someone from the after-prom committee about it and tell them to check out this website. It’s free to participate!

What do I do if my name is called at my after-prom party?

If your name is called at the end of your after-prom party, your APGF School Representative will give you a Qualifier Participation Form. You must return the Signature Page portion of your Qualifier Participation Form to your Representative according to their instructions. The Qualifier Participation Form is a legal document, so you will need to read it thoroughly. If you are 18, you won’t need a parent or guardian to co-sign the Signature Page.

The After Prom Grand Finale starts at 3:00pm sharp on Sunday, June 2nd at the Salem Civic Center. You are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early so you will have time to find your school’s registration table and be in line by 3:00. The quicker everyone gets through registration, the quicker someone wins a car!

This year, the Grand Prize car is a 2019 Nissan Kicks SV!
