2023 After-Prom Party Grants
Registration is open until Sunday 3/19 at 5:00pm
One application allowed per school
All submissions are final
Eligibility:
The school must be located in Virginia.
The after-prom party must be a school-sanctioned event directly following prom. The event may be organized by the parent/teacher association (PTA), school club, or other affiliated school group.
The grant check will be made out to the school.
The grants are to be used for after-prom parties during the 2022-2023 school year.
Schools receiving grants will:
List YOVASO as a sponsor of their after-prom party on all promotional materials recognizing sponsors. The YOVASO logo will be provided to grant recipients.
Share the grant announcement on social media and tag YOVASO. Social media information will be provided to grant recipients.
Create and share safe driving messages in school and on social media during the week of prom and on prom night.
YOVASO can provide messaging used for the spring “Arrive Alive” campaign which focuses on safe driving during prom, graduation and the high-risk warm weather months. Information can be found on the YOVASO website by clicking the button below.
Share photos of their after-prom party on social media and tag YOVASO. Social media information will be provided to grant recipients.
Complete a post-party questionnaire within 2 weeks of their event. The person who completes the grant application will be provided with the questionnaire link if they are awarded a grant. The questionnaire will also be available in the same location as the online application. Failure to complete the questionnaire will disqualify the school for additional after-prom party funding in the future. The following information will be collected:
How the grant funding was used
How many students attended the after-prom party
How many students stayed until the end of the after-prom party
Application Questions:
Briefly describe your after-prom party (hours, location, sponsors, activities).
Briefly explain why the funding is needed and how it will be used.
How will your party be supervised? How will you ensure that the party is drug and alcohol-free?
What is your plan for keeping the students at the after-prom party until the very end?
How will your sponsors be recognized?
Name and contact information for your school's authorizing official (principal, teacher, etc.).
